Consideration of SB 1315, HB 2246 and HB 2253

To consider the following bills:

SB 1315 (Pileggi) Expands the ‘red light enforcement program’ currently in the City of the 1st class to include cities of the 2, 2A and 3rd class.

HB 2246 (Tallman) Enhances the penalties against drivers who recklessly or with gross negligence cause a motor vehicle accident that kills or seriously injures an emergency responder who is acting in an official capacity.  Additionally, permits attorneys in civil actions involving motor vehicle accidents to argue specific lump sum amounts for past and future economic and non-economic damages awards.

HB 2253 (Phillips) Designates a portion of the bridge on Route 11 over the Susquehanna River in Northumberland County as the Sgt. Brett Swank Memorial Highway.
